The Chamber Champions Health and Community Engagement
Today, the Greater Bakersfield Chamber announced the launch of its “Shop Local, Shop Now” (SLSN) End of Summer Communications Campaign, which aims to highlight the benefits of shopping locally and staying healthy. As the summer season comes to a close, the opportunities to support local businesses and stay active in Bakersfield grow.
“In a time where economic concerns are prevalent, we have witnessed the steadfast resilience of consumers who continue to bolster our local economy through consistent purchasing,” said Hillary Haenes, Interim President and CEO of the Chamber. “According to the National Retail Federation, while remaining budget-conscious for essentials, individuals are also seeking opportunities to indulge and prioritize self-care.”
The 2023 summer/fall campaign will breathe new life into the SLSN website, spotlighting Chamber Member businesses that emphasize experiences and activities tailored to an active and healthy lifestyle.
Featured Chamber Members include Collective Gyms and the Dignity Health Sports Complex managed by Gameday Sports Academy.
“As part of our commitment to community engagement, the Chamber is dedicated to showcasing members in this campaign who elevate the quality of life and foster communal participation,” said Haenes. “By choosing to shop and support locally, we can actively promote economic vitality and a healthy community.”
