Greater Bakersfield Chamber Extends Nomination Deadline for 2025 Beautiful Bakersfield Awards
Bakersfield, Calif. (Friday, Feb. 7, 2025) – The Greater Bakersfield Chamber has announced an extension of the nomination deadline for the 35th annual Beautiful Bakersfield Awards, presented by Valley Strong Credit Union. In response to growing community enthusiasm, the Chamber is providing an additional two weeks for nominations, now due by Friday, Feb. 21, at 11:59 p.m.
The Beautiful Bakersfield Awards honor individuals, businesses, and organizations that make a lasting impact on the community. This year’s extension aims to encourage more nominations across all 16 award categories, particularly in areas that have received fewer submissions, including:
- Architecture & Design – Recognizing outstanding building and space designs that enhance Bakersfield’s visual and environmental landscape.
- Urban Core – Honoring efforts that revitalize downtown Bakersfield, fostering a vibrant and economically thriving community.
- Educational Excellence – Celebrating educators, programs, and institutions that significantly enhance learning opportunities.
- Health & Wellness – Recognizing initiatives that promote community well-being, preventive care, and healthy lifestyles.
- Harvey L. Hall Lifetime Achievement Award – Honoring a leader (55+) whose lifetime contributions have left a lasting impact on Bakersfield.
The 35th annual Beautiful Bakersfield Awards Gala will be held on Saturday, June 14, at the Mechanics Bank Theater & Convention Center, featuring a “Night at the MET” red carpet reception at 5 p.m. The event is a premier celebration of Bakersfield’s achievements, recognizing those who build a better community.
