The Greater Bakersfield Chamber's signature professional development program is currently accepting applications for the class of 2025
Bakersfield, Calif. (Aug. 1, 2024) — The Greater Bakersfield Chamber opened the two-week application window for the Leadership Bakersfield Class of 2025. Applications will be accepted from Thursday, Aug. 1, at 8 a.m. and will close on Friday, Aug. 16, at 5 p.m. They must be completed on the Chamber’s website at bakochamber.com/leadership-bakersfield-application/.
The 10-month program unites emerging leaders in Kern County to expand their networks, develop leadership skills and gain a deeper understanding of local industries and government.
“Leadership Bakersfield creates networks that enhance participants’ impact as professionals and involvement as engaged citizens,” said Kami Gonzalez, Chamber Vice President of Members and Programs. “For more than thirty years, this program has not only increased the number and quality of local leaders but has also significantly improved our overall standard of living.”
The curriculum includes monthly sessions, focused on themes relevant to local industries and issues. They cover leadership dynamics, health and social services, energy perspectives, artistic and cultural dimensions, media and communication landscapes, government insights, educational frontiers, law enforcement and the agricultural sector.
“The event offers a blend of distinguished speakers, panel discussions, direct interaction with industry leaders, exclusive site visits, and engaging activities,” said Gonzalez. “Within the program’s framework, participants will also undertake a collective project to address a crucial community need.“
